Equality and Diversity

The Clinical Commissioning Group is committed to eliminating unlawful discrimination and promoting equality of opportunity in respect to the way we commission healthcare services and to develop a diverse well supported workforce which reflects the population we serve.

We aim to achieve this through proactive engagement and consultation with patients, stakeholders, partners and staff who work within our organisation.

The Equality Act 2010 requires us to meet our Public Sector Equality Duty (PSED) across the range of protected groups of age, gender, disability, race, sex, sexual orientation, religion/belief, gender reassignment, marriage/civil partnership and pregnancy/maternity status.

As a public sector body, the CCG is required to prepare and publish Equality Objectives.  Our equality objectives are aligned with our vision, values and strategic objectives.

Equality objectives

We published Equality Objectives in 2014 and regularly monitor performance in relation these. Current equality objectives and our equality and diversity performance against them are detailed in our Annual Equality Report which can be found below.
