Healogics Wound Healing Centres, providing services in Crawley, Horsham and Mid Sussex have recently won an award for Compression Therapy for Venous and Lymphatic Disorders.
The award was presented to the team Friday 3 March 2017 at the Journal of Woundcare awards ceremony at The Banking Hall, London. It recognises the increased healing rates achieved by the Healogics team of specialist nurses; these results are achieved due to optimum therapeutic relationships, which focus on continuity of care, shared decision making and patient education. This enhanced relationship leads to increased patient compliance with compression therapy, thus ensuring improved patient healing outcomes.
The patient is placed front and centre of the care given and compression therapy is tailored to the personal needs of each patient, as well as their therapeutic need.
John McRobert, Tissue Viability Nurse Consultant, based in Horsham said, “We are delighted that our work and results have been recognised through this award. Everyone in our team works very hard to achieve the best outcomes for all the patients referred to our service from GPs across Crawley, Horsham and Mid Sussex.”
Kim Rickard, NHS Crawley CCG and NHS Horsham and Mid Sussex CCG Programme Manager, added: “We would like to congratulate Healogics on winning the award and are proud to have them as one of our community providers, working with the people of Crawley, Horsham and Mid Sussex.”
